Keeping it Green
As part of the our 'Keeping it Green' Geography topic, we have been learning about ways to be eco-friendly and the importance of protecting the environment. We have researched, designed and created our own eco-friendly bags, using sewing (running stitch).
In P.E (Sping1), we have been learning street dance techniques with our wonderful dance coach, Hayley. So far, we have been perfecting our routine to Dua Lipa's 'Break My Heart'.
This half-term (Spring 2), we are learning the skills and techniques involved in gymnastics, including travelling around a space, balance and holds and precision landings.
The Year of the Tiger
We have been learning about traditional Chinese New Year celebrations, and then, we created our own Chinese dragons.
This term, we have been looking at the artist, Picasso and his famous 'cubism' artwork. We have created some of our own designs ready to create a final portrait in his style. Keep your eyes peeled for our final pieces!
We were extremely lucky to be involved in a zoom interview with the author of 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' Jeff Kinney. We even practiced a draw along session of his main character, Greg Hefley.
In our class, we have regular Spanish lessons. We have been practicing how to have a simple conversation in Spanish, including how to say: my name is, how old I am, how I am feeling and how to ask questions.
