Pre-School Nursery Unit

We are delighted to welcome you to our Pre-School Nursery Unit and thank you for your interest.

Our Pre-School Nursery is open Monday to Friday 8.50 am to 3.30 pm (32.5 hours per week), term-time only. 

Here at Heatherley Primary we are pleased to offer both 15 hours (either a morning or an afternoon session) and 30 hours, for those parents who have qualified for the 30 hour entitlement through Childcare Choices.

15 Hours

Our morning session is 8.50 am to 11.50 am.

Our afternoon session is 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm.

If your child does not have a valid 30 hour code and you still require a full day's provision, we can provide this for a charge of £20.00 per day, allowing parents to add either a morning or afternoon session to their regular slot. Please speak to the school office to arrange this.

30 Hours

We offer 30 hour hours provision to parents who hold a valid 30 hour code, provided by Childcare Choices (Department for Education). 

As our normal school day is actually 32.5 hours per week, school charges parents £4.00 per day to supplement the extra non-funded hours. This is charged through ParentPay. 

If you do not wish your child to stay the full 32.5 hours, and would prefer them to do the funded 30 hours only, we have two options available to you:

• You may collect your child each day at 11.50 am and return them to school after lunch at 12.30 pm.
• You may collect your child daily at 2.50 pm.

Due to the nature of our school-based setting, we are unable to accommodate individual requests for timetable changes. 

Children who attend a full day may also request a hot meal at lunchtime. This may be a school dinner or a jacket potato option. There will be a charge for this service through ParentPay.
