WORLD BOOK DAY 2022 YEAR 1 AND 2

Today, we have taken the time to share, read and discuss our favourite books. We have had an absolutely wonderful day. 

Recommending books to our peers

To start off our morning, we shared our books with our friends in year 5&6.  After we had finished reading, we drew pictures of the books we had read, and the new friends we had made. 

Following instructions

In the afternoon, we read some instructions and without any help from an adult, we had to follow them carefully. We all successfully followed the instructions to make a special crown fit for a queen or king. 

Reading for pleasure

Finally, we finished off our fun-filled reading day with a trip to the brand new book shack. We picked a book that enticed us and sat down to enjoy it.

What a fantastic World Book Day we had in Year 1!

We shared our favourite books with children from Year 3/4.  

As it was a no pens day, we read instructions to make a crown.  We had fun decorating our crown with gems and jewels. 

The new Reading Shack was fantastic.  We snuggled down to share stories.
