Meet the team: Miss Unwin, Miss Hooper and Miss Backhouse are our fantastic teachers.
Mrs Plastow, Mrs Unwin, Mrs Rouse are our wonderful teaching assistants.

Weekly Information:
Drop off and Collection – Start time is 8.40am at your classroom door. Collection time is 3.30pm from the same door. Please let us know if there will be a different adult picking your child up.
PE:
Miss Unwin's (Year 1) PE session is Tuesday.
Miss Hooper's (Year 1/2) PE session is Monday.
Miss Backhouse's (Year 2) PE session is Monday.
Children will require a school PE kit which includes:
White t shirt, shorts/joggers, a sweatshirt as PE may be held outside and trainers/plimsolls (non branded).
Homework: Homework for year 1 will be sent home every Friday and collected in every Thursday. The homework for year 1 will focus on the phonics learning previously taught to your child. Please practice the phonemes learnt, reading words which includes the phonemes, reading sentences, reading tricky words and spell some words including our new phonemes. Please show evidence of completion for your child to receive a dojo point each week.
Spellings: Our spelling quiz day for year 2 is Friday. Please allow children time at home to practise the spellings. Encourage your child to read, write and say out loud the phonemes in each word.
Year 1 spellings.
In year 1, spelling practice takes place during their daily Little Wandle phonics lessons so spellings will not be sent home.
Please practice reading the words on the red 'Words I need to know' page in their reading diary
These words match the daily spellings the children will be practicing in their daily Little Wandle phonics lessons.
Autumn Term:
We are busy learning all about Dinosaurs! We are so excited to learn all about dinosaurs. We will be learning about where dinosaurs lived, researching interesting facts, looking at fossils and discovering who Mary Anning is.
Spring Term:
We are busy learning about The Great Fire of London! We are looking forward to learning about what The Great Fire was, when it started and the impact that it had. We will also be looking at 'Uses of Everyday Materials' in Science, focussing on recycling.
Summer Term:
This term we will be looking at our local area in our topic 'Navigating Nottinghamshire'. We are looking forward to learning more about our county and looking at its landmarks. We will also be looking at 'Animals including Humans' in Science.
